Highlights of my 2009 Spring Break to Europe. DC to Munich, Germany for a day where I walked around, drank, and made some new friends. Met the next morning at Munich airport where my friend Mike was dropping my brother off and drove back with him to Hinterglemm in the Austrian Alps where I hung out with him and his family who were working and went snowboarding. Hopped in the car with Mike a few days later and drove to Bologna, Italy where we met up with my friend Ele and drank and hung out with her and her friends. Next day drove to the Republic of San Marino, one of the smallest and oldest countries in the world where we walked around, ate a delicious feast, drank wine, and slept in the car. Got up, watched the sunrise, drove to Venice, Italy and hung out all day before driving to Ljubljana, Slovenia where we spent the night after finding a really artsy, punk, hang out where everyone just drank in the open. Next day we drove to Postonja Caves, a seaside town called Piran, and into Croatia for 45 minutes where we got lost and questioned by the police/border guards 3 times. Went back to Ljubljana, then to Lake Bled but didn't want to sleep in the car again (it was 30 degrees F) or pay for a hotel so we drove back to Austria and snowboarded there until I left. Pretty good for 10 days.
