Megaptera Homarus, or Streblo as I like to call him, is my final for Organic Modeling. The assignment was to combine two or more animals into a hyrbid, keeping in mind believable anatomy and future texturing and rigging. Streblo features parts from a humpback whale, american lobster, and a coconut crab. The base mesh was modeled in maya to establish a solid edge flow, then taken into Z-brush for additional sculpting. The model, props and turntable render were done in 5 weeks.
