This is a short film I wrote, co-shot, directed and edited for the World Wildlife Fund.
It's about an amazing cyclical farming system that combines silk production with carp farming. It also delves into the symbolic value of carp in China, and reflects on the difficult choices we face when we achieve our goals.
The WWF are currently launching a project to draw attention to China's low footprint solutions. The Chinese currently produce over 10 million tons of carp using these ingenious methods, but what of the future? What's on the horizon? Will big businesses move in? Will the sustainable practices disappear?

Shot on Canon 5D and Sony F3.
Many thanks to all who were involved and managed to remain positive throughout the production :)
