Going to be getting a 5DM2 soon, so really been thinking about budgeting for one of these kits. Thanks for the build info.
Just wish we could get full control from the grip, for camera functions.
Gonna keep my eyes open for that one. :)
We just added three new kits, here is the full like of them: zacutodslr.com

I know you are more plugged into the proper info channels- Have you heard of anyone, Canon or otherwise, coming up with a control module you plug into the camera that would act as a remote/grip for the shutter release, electronic menu control, etc, etc?
I'm thinking similar to the 'Scarlet' hand-grip camera controller "Redhandle".

But I am afraid that you cannot shoot this way with the canon 5D2. I've been working with this camera for 5 month now. around 400 hrs... and there is no way that you can shoot with your hands off it... your right hand needs to be full time on the grip hand of the camera. starting from rec to lock and to control your aperture...
the Zacuto Rig does look like the business... I would love to shoot this way... but with this camera I'm afraid it still not possible...

good looking stuff though. i wish i could afford it.
lol
zacutoimages.com/p408746338/h636b438#h1a9614f2 look at pictures 1-20, here is the Rapid Fire: store.zacuto.com/DSLR-Rapid-Fire.html The Rapid Fire has a list price of $580, that's a 1/4 of the cost of the camera body.
