Wow, what a night. There is no Split without me and no me without Split. After sailing across the Adriatic in a catamaran we find our booked apartment relax a bit then hit the night life. They've upped the party scene since the last time I was here but the RIva is just as I left it and the beaches and the islands are still some of the best. But first let's talk about the name Split...
Cathedral of St. Duje
The Cathedral of St. Duje is a complex of a church, formed from an Imperial Roman mausoleum, with a bell tower; strictly the church is dedicated to the Virgin Mary, and the bell tower to Saint Duje. Together they form the Cathedral of St. Duje. St. Duke is the patron saint of Split, who was a 3rd century Bishop of Salona.
