This time lapse video documents our members' first use of the new observing pad in front of the RASC Victoria Centre Observatory, Victoria, BC, Canada. Front and centre is the 20" Dobsonian telescope, which now has a new home at the VCO.

This time lapse movie was created using a Canon 50D taking small jpg photos every 30 seconds between 9:24pm and 12:48am (the next morning), when the VCO was closed for the night.

Please ensure you play this video in high definition mode so you see the greater detail available in the HD version, especially when it gets dark. Click on the little 4 segment icon in the lower right corner of the video to go to HD mode, or click on the WMV download link on the lower right side of this web page to save & view an even better HD version.
