    I love it, but still confused..is that really paper? How did you get it to curl? did you just go backwards & cut it away and use different sized spirals to look like curls?

    Also, what kind of program did you use? I'm guessing something like frame thief, but I know frame thief doesn't work with digital cameras only video cameras (to my knowledge).

    Emily, first part of your answer is right, it was shot and played backwards to make the paper appear. And yes, it's all paper. Each piece was cut and a different curl was put into place to simulate the lines unfolding.

    No particular capture software was used. It was shot with a Canon5D and we previewed the images in Bridge.

    The post-production was done in after effects.
