The Blackfeet Indian Reservation stands as a wild vestige along the Rocky Mountain Front in Montana. Oil and gas interest are drilling across the reservation. The myriad roads and exploratory fracking wells have locals concerned about the effects of fracking on the water and the disturbance to sacred sites in their homeland. A group of Blackfeet women came together to protest the fracking and to pray for the water and people downstream. The women walked 80 miles across the reservation, from one sacred mountain, Chief Mountain, to another, Heart Butte.
