I got turned around in Durham on Friday, May 29, after the Pin Projekt auction fundraiser at the Pinhook. I wound up turning around in this abandoned parking lot, and what do I wind up seeing and filming, but fireworks from the Durham Bulls stadium, set against a thunderstorm, with the radio tuned to WCPE, "The Classical Station" playing Erich Wolfgang Korngold, film composer (korngold-society.org/)'s score to Robin Hood. Watch for the last two pops of the final fireworks at the end (sound traveling slower than light), and the lightning strike and subsequent later thunder (again, sound traveling slower than light). This just happened exactly like this - I didn't edit any of this footage.
