Time Lapse - Test Clip4 V2 'AV Feedback Loop'
Work in progress. - tomhall.com.au
In the creation of this video I have used audio content derived from Federation Square, Melbourne to control, edit and manipulate the video content (also derived from Federation Square), creating a process that leads the image to be a direct visual representation of audio from that area. The nature of coming to the final video composition is experimental in process, through adapting various image manipulations that are triggered and executed by specific audio frequencies within the sound recorded from Fed. Square. This is then taken one additional step, allowing the visual content to manipulate the audio, creating an audio/visual feedback loop.
ABOUT NEXT WAVE TIME LAPSE
Next Wave Time Lapse, is an arresting program of new screen-based work by young and emerging artists for Federation Square’s Big Screen and surrounding multimedia sites. Starting June 2009, Next Wave will present new work by twelve of Australia’s most exciting young video and new media artists.
Next Wave Time Lapse will occupy one of Melbourne’s most visible and visited public sites, Federation Square, investigating the potential of screen-based art in public space, and building new audiences for this work.
