Today we met up with Olivia Jones and Lucy Hayes, both 14 years old and local Wanaka Grom’s.

The Girls are hard at training whilst missing days at school and today they ditched their training in the pipe to come shred the park and film with us!

The day was rudely interrupted by the next weather front. It was coming in fast with gale force, stopping the lift at times. The girls were convinced our long stop on the swinging lift was bad karma as they felt guilty ditching training.

The wind slowed down the lifts today but for those bearing the windy conditions they scored perfect snow, others waited drinking hot chocolates in the café looking out the windows.

The snow is amazing and Cardrona as it has top to bottom cover due to the last snow storm topping up the existing base making Cardrona a place not to miss on your ski trip in New Zealand. Cardona boasting an all round mountain with Pipe & Park, great groomers for all levels and some backcountry for the free riders.

Cardona is rocking it at the moment.
