'Lost in Pascal’s Triangle' is a light interactive installation that allows audiences to play and exploring the concept & magnificent of the Pascal’s triangle mathematics formula, which named after the French mathematician, Blaise Pascal. There are 100 of illuminated triangular displays within a 20-layered fluorescence triangle structure.
Lights, space and time form colors, volume and sequences. Such elements create a place for us to explore. A set of triangular xylophone inspired by Pascal’s theory is well-set and allows the audience to interact and explore the relationship between mathematical structure and light sequences travelling in a space. By hitting the xylophone, a light sequence and sound beat will be performed based on a mathematical algorithm which determines the randomness, speed & color of light and the sound synthesis.
