This shot turned out to be unusually easy, probably because all of the elements were provided and all I had to do was the compositing + keying. Very fun!
The elements I got consisted of an FG plate of the actor in a car against a greenscreen, and a BG plate of an out-of-focus street. I opened the FG plate in Nuke and used one IBK keyer to get a soft matte, and another greenscreen keyer to get a hard matte, which I then combined to get my final matte.
I then did a slight vignette and rendered it out :)
Vignettes is a good way to subtly make a shot more cinematic, a despill greatly affects a matte and can fix transparent areas, in order to get a good video out of Nuke the bitrate has to be weirdly high
