Sitges was a last minute decision for me. A bunch of people from my study abroad trip decided to go on a random weekend. Known as a beach town that has a particularly strong draw for gays and lesbians, we weren't expecting what the town has in store at night. After a day at the picaresque beaches and swimming in the cool Mediterranean Sea, most of us were ready to head home. A few stubborn people insisted on staying for a festival they had seen signs for earlier. I had gone to buy food with a couple other friends and decided to sit in a plaza to eat and right as we finished the festival procession had made its way to our area. What followed is what you'll see in the video (this was at a second video, I was too busy enjoying myself the first time around). It was a couple minutes of chaos with people dressed up and figures of devils and beasts hoisted around the plaza with firecrackers and sparkers going off. What we thought at first was Christmas lights turned out to be firecrackers wired up together.
