Converging Lives was a collaboration between visual artist Marie Brett, musician Kevin O’Shanahan and the Alzheimer’s Society of Ireland’s (ASI) Bandon Daycare Centre, supported by the HSE Cork Arts + Health Programme and West Cork Arts Centre.
The project resulted in a series of audio-visual portraits of participants attending the Bandon daycare centre, Co Cork and was short listed and received commendation at an International Arts & Dementia Excellence Awards ceremony in Sydney, Australia in 2012.
An Arts Council Create AIC research & development award enabled the artists to collaborate with film-maker Chris Cullen of Epic Productions, to produce this edited version of the Converging Lives series.
