It's shot on a Red One. Why would it look like film?

hemant kapoor s comment is really a pity.it looks like a hollywood film and reminds me night syamalan s signs(with mel gibson).absolutely stunning.how many days did u spend to do it and did u add any color correction?music is also good.cong!

Thanks for the comments! It was a 7 day shoot for an 8 minute film. But when we were shooting in the forest, we would only shoot 3 to 5 shots a day in specific dawn/dusk light settings. It's Red footage, so it was definitely color corrected. The score was done by NYC based Rubin Kodheli with some other great musicians. There's a lot more info on the website if you're interested.

That looks slick. I love the shot of the camo head in the water, which turns and reveals the character. That was slick.

Looks really good. Nice work with the RED.

Fantastic. That guy commenting above saying this doesn't look filmic is absolutely 100% wrong. It looks Hollywood; the production value looks incredibly high throughout.

How did you do the sweeping shots over the water may I ask? For example the one at 0:12?
  • Joseph Johnson Camí 6 months ago
Thanks!! The opening shot, which is uncut and about a minute and a half in the actual film, was done using tracks, a doorway dolly, an EZ FX Jib arm, a remote head and about 4 hours of our shoot schedule...

Incredible. What kind of budget were you working with?
  • Joseph Johnson Camí 6 months ago
It was a seven day shoot for an 8 minute film. It cost us around 25,000 canadian dollars, but we had equipment sponsorship from PS Production Services, which saved us around 15,000 grand.
