I used a crisis pregnancy center when I became pregnant and didn't ask about condoms because I knew I was pregnant and needed help. They helped me with transportation to my doctor, clothes, crib and helped me with finding housing. For a girl like me they were the perfect fit. I read the article and a standard paper cup is pretty standard for pregnancy testing, and most places tell you wait 2 weeks before testing again because HCG levels will rise. My doctor had me come back two weeks later, nothing new with that.
There are 30 studies concluding a link between breast cancer and abortion, and about 10 saying no link. Russia is a high risk country for breast cancer and infertility, they also are the highest abortion country which has scaled back access to abortion because of the population issues and high infertility. The average Russian woman has had 7 abortions by her mid 20's, and they had OC's before us.
Some women like me cannot take OC's and use diaphragms. I had several partners before my guy of 8 years, still not married though. We've been only each other and just last year I found out I have HPV, I've always used condoms. I was referred to thehpvtest web site and found out condoms don't always protect you and there are over 100 types, the vaccine only covers 4 types. I was upset at first, but my doctor told me that the virus can lie dormant for years, and I only know I have it when I'm pregnant. So much to learn, unfortunately I didn't learn that in sex ed at school, even though the class was finished up with handing out condoms. Serious.
I was given NO choices for keeping my daughter and, like you describe, I was isolated and brainwashed FOR MONTHS into believing that I was NOT good enough to keep her. I was sent away to a maternity home where I was incarcerated for four months in order for them to perpetrate this crime of legalized kidnapping. After four months, I SURRENDERED. Just like General Lee at Apomattox, I gave up, and I signed the papers. I DID NOT RELINQUISH MY DAUGHTER, I SURRENDERED. There is a difference. Read "The Girls Who Went Away".
The ongoing coercion of young women through sophistocated brainwashing techniques under the guise of "advise" must stop. Women deserve to know ALL their choices, and that goes for learning about STD's as well as birth control AND pregnancy choices.
I am a Certified Nurse-Midwife and I started and ran a clinic for pregnant teens for 7 years. I have seen and heard it all. Part of my mission was to educate young people IN THEIR HIGH SCHOOLS about the truth. I talked about it all. Nobody in a class I taught was spared learning about ALL the choices surrounding reproduction. But this was also before the radical right began their abstinence-only rampage and stopped letting teens of America be truly educated.
Thank you for your video. I do hope young women will no longer coerced using methods you describe in the future, but it will only happen when more women like you speak up. Cudos to you!
