Floyd is a butterfly with a difference. He paints his wings black and doesn’t like drinking nectar from flowers preferring to slurp wax from people’s ears. Floyd rebels against his parents Flynn and Flo who are frustratingly encouraging and happy and tries to avoid his little sister, Flossy, who is a ball of brightly coloured positive energy. He lives underground, in a bottle below his parents’ flower and goes to Millimetre High. Floyd is the lead singer in the band; The Whatevers, made up of his friends Greta, the spider, Sting, the bee and Slater, the slater bug who never talks.
