On Sunday, September 16, 2012 between 2:00PM and 6:00PM, two unknown suspects entered a school on the unit block of Fell Street and stole a musical instrument from an unlocked storage locker. The instrument stolen was a Bubenreuth Cello, described as “priceless.” A substantial reward has been offered for the return of this Cello.

The first suspect is described as a white male approximately 6’01” 180 lbs with dirty blond/brown hair, between 25 to 30 years of age. The second suspect is described as a white female approximately 5’07” thin build 120 lbs with black hair, between 25 to 30 years of age.

On Tuesday, September 18th at approximately 11:55PM, a security officer found a musical instrument leaning up against a door of the War Memorial Opera House located on Van Ness Avenue. The instrument was held for safekeeping. After seeing a news report of the cello theft on Wednesday morning, security personnel at the Opera House notified police and school officials. The found instrument has been identified as the stolen cello and has been returned to the victim.
