    WOW!

I just caught wind of this via Fast Company and was absolutely blown away. At first glance this appears to be a CGI post process. I'll have to look into those software packages you used to get a better handle on it all.

One question though. Is what we see in the video also visible first-person?

I also just saw the video courtesy of FastCompany.com. Congratulations!! Keep up the great work and innovation. Cheers! ;O)

Nice work on the video textures. The best looking AR businesscard I've seen.

You may also like Daniel Wagners AR BusinessCard. AR is done on a mobile phone with his proprietary StudierStube tracker.

It uses any image on the card rather than the black-and-white (FL)ARToolKit Markers you're using:

A few months ago, using all open code, I did a vaguely similar thing to Daniel - augmenting a standard, found postcard with video:

Thanks very much Julian and thanks for the links. Yeah I've come across StudierStube. Looks great. Is that what you are using for your card?
  • Julian Oliver 4 months ago
No, the code's mostly my own with planar object recognition/tracking from bazar. The goal of course isn't to augment postcards so much as street advertisements..

You can read more about it all here
