Comparison of how two popular computer flight simulations portray the performance of the classic British RAF fighter of the Battle of Britain; the Spitfire Mark IIa.

In this instance the Maddox Games' Cliffs of Dover simulation is compared with Accusim's Air2Air World of Power 3. In both cases a virtual Spitfire Mark IIa is fired up on the runway, allowed to warm up, then taken off and put into a climb at the same service settings: 2850 rpms, 9 lbs boost, radiator open 50%, climb speed set at 185 mph IAS. The difference in results is startling, considering that this is supposed to be the same aircraft!
