Cosmic Territory is a 40 in. x 96 in. Cibachrome photograph comprised of multiple large format negatives. I find and photograph oil stains on E. 139th Street in the South Bronx, echoing the tradition of street photography. Each pattern is found in various stages of dissolution after rainfall. The panoramic vista suggests a spectacle grounded in lived experience. The local landscape is transformed into the distant cosmos.
