Debut Worimi centre John Schultz, 18, says his scariest moment in sport came this year, playing rugby league against grown men for the first time, with the Tea Gardens Hawks.

"When you’re running at them, they sling you around," he said. "They’ve got no sympathy for you.

But the centre and sometimes second rower says his debut with the Worimi Dolphins this weekend, as part of NSW Aboriginal Rugby League Knockout, Raymond Terrace, will be a different level of fitness altogether,

Players who are a bit older and heavier will be focused on making their time count out on the field, during the competition's 20 minute halves, according to Schultz.

"They’ll put 110% into playing, just so that they know that in their three to four minutes they get on there, they know that they’ve made it count, and made a difference to their team."
