Alright, I understand the use of Trapcode Horizon in the end scene [or at least I'm guessing it's that], but how did you make the 3D graves and guy? Are they inside of AE?
Actually, no horizon this time. Its just a huge scene i set up. Large floor layer. A tree line in the distance, and a huge flat sky on an angle.
The graves are just one image, duplicated about 30 times each backward in z-space. If you watch them as they pass the camera, you get a glimpse down the side of all the layers. And if you see how many tombstones there are, you can only imagine what my layer count was!!
And the dude, that was done with some expression trickery and a bit of hand animation to pull of the 3D illusion. His face LOOKS 3D, but its just the same sort of masking technique the homestarrunner dude uses on strongbad's face.
