My debut at Cabaret Burlesque in Brisbane, which earned me 3rd place in the New Talent category (and a box of cupcakes).
The routine is based on my Muslim upbringing, and does directly reference Islamic prayer. I endeavoured to be as tasteful and respectful as I can. There is no full-blown nudity; just a few seconds of toplessness (in pasties) while I get my top on.
I apologise in advance for any offence this may cause. So far the response has been positive; granted I haven't actually had many responses from *Muslims* yet. If you have any issues please contact me with respect.
