In 1992, while "Free Willy" was being filmed in Mexico, a young orca was captured in the South Atlantic. He was between 4 and 6 years old at the moment of being taken for "rehabilitation" 17 years ago.
KSHAMENK is captive in a facility called Mundo Marino in the province of Buenos Aires.
He is the only captive orca in Argentina and in the Southern Hemisphere, wasting his life in a claustrophobic and lonely place while acting like a circus clown, very unfitting for an ORCA.
None of the trainers dare to swim with KSHAMENK.
