This experimental video was created as a final project for my procedural animation course at Savannah College of Art and Design. scad.edu It was inspired by demoscene and sub-atomic particle collision images. The name comes from the Higgs Boson prticle which is expected to provide a scientific foundation for the origin of mass in the universe.

My special thanks goes to professor Ronald Bernard and Puryx aka Christian Rønde who let me use his music for the soundtrack originally created for a demo called Nucleophile bit.ly/aErBrg

You should visit prof. Bernard's website if you want to see some amazing student work:

I’d say that this is more than just a little inspired – not only the music (which is directly used without any editing from a different production), but the sync-points and even some direct camera angle-cuts are derived directly from this: demoscene.tv/prod.php?id_prod=13383

Even the title is a derivate from the original, called “Nucleophile”.

Sincere by the same group was another big influence:
bit.ly/1BVyM but also demoscene in general. However, this is not a demo or a prod. Its just a class assignment gone out of control.

I think it's very cool that people are inspired by demoscene productions, I just wish they would list their inspirations as well as the music credits. :)
