At this season's Kingpins New York trade show, experts in the fiber / fabric / seed / farming and fashion industries got together to discuss whether or not cotton can be grown sustainably. The answers were varied and the discussion highlighted the concerns of consumers, conservationists, farmers, educators, scientists, designers, retailers and manufacturers. The conversation was civil, but pointed to an important issue that must be seriously and thoughtfully addressed.
