So the Letus came in the mail today, and I decided to go walking around the city with my friend Chad to give it a quick test. I am really liking the potential of this adapter, I will give it a proper test very soon. Until then, enjoy what I have so far and feel free to comment.

Gotta love the Letus. This looks really good. What software did you use to color correct?

I used Magic bullet looks for FCP. It's Definitely one of my favorite programs.

I don't own Magic Bullet, but do you think it is better than Color, that comes with the FCP suite?

I have both Apple Color and Red Giant Magic Bullet Looks, and I really prefer to use Magic bullet looks. It has a very user friendly interface, and a generous amount of presets.

Good stuff, did you get a rail system?
  • Tom Valko plus 6 months ago
yeah I bought the bundle from Letus.

    hey tom
how is the rail support from Letus holding up? I chose to go with Zacuto for base plate and rails. after spending the cash I am wondering if I should have just gone with the letus bundle.

Great rack focuses and operating, man. How did you find handholding the cam w/Letus- easy, awkward? Any pointers?

    Thank you Jesse,
the camera rig gets to be rather tiring after prolonged handheld use, I was supporting the camera with my right arm and pulling focus with my left. In my opinion i would have no problem using the rig handheld for some shots (while filming lets say a short film, or music video) but the keeping the cam steady while trying to maintain accurate focus would be the greatest challenge. I personally like the look of rough handheld shots sometimes, but you can really fine tune the focus and get amazing results when using a tripod.
