This video is a short introduction of Phönix Shipwreck Project.
"The Phönix Shipwreck Project - Verkefnið Phönix 1881" is ongoing underwater research project. Ss Phönix sank in January 1881 in Snaefellsnes, Iceland. In april 2009 the wreck was discovered, after 130 years on the bottom of the sea. The search took 3 years by the divers, Arnar Egilsson, Eggert Magnússon and Eiríkur Jónsson. Dive team from sersveit Rls assist with the search. Underwater archaeologist Ragnar Edvardsson is leading the project. This is short introduction of the search.
