A short high energy video of the World Cup Women's cycling event held in Montreal Quebec Canada on May 30, 2009. The race consisted of 11 laps over Mount Royal in the center of the city.
The climbing took a toll on the energy and endurance of the athletes as the grade goes up to 15% at some points.
The winner of the race was Emma Pooley from Britain and of the Cervelo team. She broke away from the peleton after the first climb and held the lead ever since.
Emma Johansson was second but scored enough points to maintain her lead in the world cup circuit.
