Oludeniz ("Dead Sea") is a small resort town on the south west coast of Turkey, close to Fethiye.

Babadag ("Father Mountain") is just a 30 minute drive from Oludeniz and features three paved paragliding launch sites at 1700m, 1800m and 2000m above sea level.

The launch height results in incredibly scenic flights over the Oludeniz bay. The Blue Lagoon, Butterfly Valley and the ruins of Kaya Koy ("Ghost Town") are an easy glide from the peak.

Flying with the sun overhead and clouds as backdrop creates an awesome 'glory' - your shadow on the cloud with a circular rainbow surrounding it ... for a description of this effect see
