Blender basic animation, this tutorial shows how to insert key frames to create a simple animation of the default cube moving.

I use a rhyme to help successfully set up key frames -
Go to frame, make change, insert key frame.

Blender will interpolate between two key frames. This means the computer will work out the location of an object in all the frames in-between the key frames.

Blender not only interpolates location, it also interpolates rotation and scale and much more.
