Having been selected as one of the emerging film makers in January the Our City Our Music project finally kicked off in March, the vision was to create a music video in one single shot in a location of the band's choice. With a limited budget I wanted to make the set look as down to earth as possible and not go too overboard with what would happen. After seeing the band rehearse in their basement we found all these interesting left overs from previous tenants and so as a concept I planned to bring the band's living room to the Brudenell social club using a one take shot cut with footage from just one other camera. So after getting a group of willing volunteers together we all went to the Brudenell Social Club to take on the iconic music venue and turn it's gaudy performance area into the YonderBoy's living room. By using a retro reflective green screen and LED ring I was able to make the green screen stand out without rear projection or lighting and make the band look as though they were traveling through the streets of leeds in their front room!!!- a bit of a metaphor to how they are getting bigger in the music scene any way ..
