Come on down to the Rio Theatre (Commercial and Broadway) for an evening that will shed new light on Occupy Vancouver.
October 15 marks the one-year anniversary of Occupy Vancouver.
Local documentarians Rafferty Baker and Matthew J. Van Deventer will showcase the most definitive and revealing documentary ever made on the 39 day tent-city protest that occupied the Vancouver Art Gallery Plaza.
For a month and a half, Occupy Vancouver dominated headlines and news casts across the city. Not only does The Occupation provide an exclusive look at tent-city's conditions and culture but it also reveals the city's tactics used to maintain control and dominance at the VAG.
Doors are at 6PM and the doc starts at 6:45 PM.
There will be a brief Q&A session after the screening with a selection of special guests.
Tickets are $8.
Please note that the premiere is a 19+ (no minors) event as there will be a bar on site.
You can buy tickets online at brownpapertickets.com/event/278213.
