Number 14 Squadron of the Royal New Zealand Air Force operated sixteen examples of the BAC Strikemaster from 1972 through to 1992 when it was replaced by the Aermacchi MB 339CB.

This aircraft is one of the ex-RNZAF fleet that was initially sold to Australia and operated there as a civilian warbird before returning to New Zealand skies in late 2010.
