KVOM's Recap of the Game:

The Morrilton defense had no answer for the quick passing attack of Greenbrier and the Devil Dog offense couldn't keep up with the Panthers as Greenbrier spoiled Morrilton's Homecoming with a 49-13 victory over the Devil Dogs Friday night.

Senior quarterback Seth Peters passed for nearly 300 yards and five touchdowns in the game for Greenbrier, leading the Panthers to touchdowns on their first five possessions in opening up a 35-13 halftime lead. Morrilton got within 21-13 early in the second quarter on a 65-yard touchdown run from junior quarterback Toney Hawkins, but the Devil Dogs would not score again and the sportsmanship rule was in effect early in the fourth quarter. Hawkins finished with 109 yards rushing and 145 yards passing, but threw three interceptions.

Senior Jamar Criswell finished with 42 yards rushing and one touchdown on 15 carries as the Devil Dogs fell to 2-1 in the 5A West. The Panthers are now 3-0 in the conference, 6-0 overall.

Morrilton travels to Vilonia this week. The Eagles are still undefeated in conference play after taking care of Clarksville, 45-14, on Friday.

In the other 5A West games, Alma beat Harrison, 29-13, and Shiloh Christian got past Huntsville, 16-7
