Step away from the keyboard, adjust your eye-setting to magical and chase the rainbow to Punk Monk Propaganda’s second intermedia gallery night ALGAE RHYTHM 0.02: PSYCHOCHEMICAL.

This evening meeting of sparkling & osmotic minds will focus on lost organics and found vibrations, and aims to reconnect the humans in the room with the magical biology that drives their innate need for creation.

Featuring a never-before-risen Frankenstein liquid light projector that feeds on the stomping needs of hot flamenco mamacitas, PSYCHOCHEMICAL is a night of highly tactile delights to tickle your temporal lobe & entice your itchy trigger fingers.

Taking inspiration from our psychedelic forefathers, the alchemists in the back of the Punk Monk Lab have been concocting a self-regenerating obstacle course of music, sensation and liquid magic for you all to swim and play in. Expect coloured oil, sea creatures, optical illusions and open warehouse space where the ghost of chaos lingers in waiting.

Obsessed as we are by the filmic form, the night will include a screening of consummate brain-tickler Richard Linklater’s 2006 adaptation of Philip K Dick’s pulp sci fi classic A Scanner Darkly.

There will be glistening paint. There will be naked canvas on unexpected surfaces. The walls will drip and run and you will get far, far dirtier than you already are, you adorably grubby labrats. Life’s messy. Make it beautiful.

First thirty people to RSVP will receive a personalized one-off zine on the night. The print run is capped at thirty so colour us sharp people!
