“Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?” Matthew 6:27 (NIV)

Make a list of all my worries: ____________________________

The Serenity Prayer

“God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, The courage to change the things I can, And the wisdom to know the difference. Living one day at a time. Enjoying one moment at a time. Accepting hardship as the pathway to peace. Taking, as Jesus did, this sinful world as it is not as I would have it. Trusting that You, God, will make all things right if I surrender to Your will So that I may be reasonably happy in this life And supremely happy with You forever in the next. Amen.”

1. Realize That God Cares About All My Needs

“That is why I tell you not to worry about everyday life—whether you have enough food and drink, or enough clothes to wear. Isn’t life more than food, and your body more than clothing? Look at the birds. They don’t plant or harvest or store food in barns, for your heavenly Father feeds them. And aren’t you far more valuable to Him than they are?” Matthew 6:25-26 (NLT)

There is nothing you can ever do in life that will make God love you more or less than He already does right now.

“Since He did not spare even His own Son but gave Him up for us all, won’t He also give us everything else?”

Romans 8:32 (NLT)

“And my God will meet all your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:19 (NIV)

2. Be Responsible For My Actions, Reactions And Attitudes

“Trust in the LORD and do good; Dwell in the land and cultivate faithfulness. Delight yourself in the LORD; And He will give you the desires of your heart.” Psalm 37:3-4 (NASB95)

Make a list of things I can do: ___________________________

“Jesus replied: ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’” Matthew 22:37-39 (NIV)

3. Pray And Practice Being Thankful

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank Him for all He has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:6-7 (NLT)

List what I am thankful for: _________________________

“Make thankfulness your sacrifice to God, and keep the vows you made to the Most High. Then call on me when you are in trouble, and I will rescue you, and you will give me glory.”

Psalm 50:14-15 (NLT)

“Then Jesus said, ‘Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.’”

Matthew 11:28 (NLT)

My Next right step I will choose to:

[ ] believe God loves and cares about me

[ ] take action for my responsibilities
