Do you remember the desks, tables and or chairs that you provided 24 schools in Ethiopia last year? We’re excited to let you know that a year later, your furniture was the first crucial step towards quality education. The furniture you were a part of bringing to the schools was the foundation that imagine1day was able to jump off of to provide teacher training, tree planting, sports kits, reading corners, support for school clubs, science kits and creative writing programs.

Just one short year later, we are now working on providing sustainability by creating water points on schools sites as well as the development of micro-irrigation systems to support income-generating activities. Enrollment has soared and performance is better than ever, but the greatest impact this year has been in the minds of children and parents. The students are now setting ambitious education and career goals while the parents are now seeing a brighter future where child labour and early marriage do not have to be options. Your desk, table or chair has been an incredible piece of this ever growing puzzle for a brighter future for Ethiopia.
