On May 9, Los Angeles got its first festival devoted entirely to celebrating craft beer and micro-brew culture. As one of several founding organizers, Hot Knives was on 'keep people from rioting if all the other food disappears' duty. We brought 90 lbs of peanuts, cashews and pecans. We lugged 60 lbs. of caved aged cheeses still in giant wheels. And then we endured 7 hours of lines and people chanting "Cheese, cheese!" We loved every second.
