October's first weekend brought out twenty bicyclists for the Friends of the Weiser River Trail's new fully supported 85 mile railtrail ride. All transportation, gear hauling, camp sites, accelerated water and meals were provided by local volunteers and businesses from along the route. Our overnight stay at Mundo and use of their brand new hot spring pool was a big hit. The Senior Center of Cambridge prepared Saturday's dinner and yummy dessert. Breakfast was served at Bucky's and Mrs. G's. Lunches were prepared by the Midvale Cafe. Bike repair by Meridian Cycles. So many fine people made this Trek a wonderful experience. The fall scenery and good company made this trip quite simply "splendid". (For more FWRT railtrail information please go to
