We provided DJ and lighting services for this spectacular Wedding at the rooftop level of the Gramercy Park Hotel in Manhattan. Most of the lighting went to the artificial plants around the room which per the bride, and boy was she right, were lit in white color by using uplighting, one uplighting fixture per plant. This gave the trees a "glow" which beautifully accentuated them around the room, without overwhelming this gorgeous space with too much lighting (more is less and less is more sometimes).

The roof opens up dome style at this venue and you cannot deny you're in the middle of Manhattan as you look around and notice all of the lit up buildings. For the dance-floor area we decided to make it colorful, as it was the only area in the whole place that would have colored lighting. A thin-haze machine enhanced the dance-floor lighting.

The music was a blend of 90s, rock, 80s and top 40s, and just became more and more eclectic as the night progressed, the entire reception celebration lasted 6 hours (instead of the usual 4).

The first dance was custom mixed by our DJ, per the bride and groom's specific requests, which is something we often do to further personalize the event. We all agreed this was one of the most accommodating venues ever to work in.
