Man, your work is truly impressive. Even your (seemingly :) ) simple stuff blows me away. (Yeah, I know...I'm sure you hear that often...none the less it's awesome stuff.)

Sort of off topic, but, what is the song playing in the background?

It is nice to know when people like your work
    Thank you Chris.
    I like simple :)

Not sure about the music, but I will find out.

i would love to see some info on how this was made - i had a similar idea for a backlit drawing table and this would work superpbly in that context.

perhaps it is a marketable item?

I usually put photos on twitter while we make stuff, you can see a couple of photos there I think. If you have specific question send me a direct message I'll be happy to share.

I like the minimalism on this project.

This looks gorgeous! I've been coincidentally wanting to make something very similar, but not sure how to create blocks like yours that diffuse the LEDs so well. Can you explain how you made it? Thanks!

    Also, are you using Arduino?

Hi Casey. I would be happy to share the cad file we used to lasercut the acrylic. It all snaps together pretty easily. No I didn't use Arduino for this one, I used a color kinetics string. But Arduino and LED shift registers is the next step. There is something pretty cool for this here macetech.com

Funny how in some images this looks room size. Until I saw one of the twitter shots I just assumed it was quite a large build. Actually it was this shot the window reflection!

Really nice resolution of the concept in terms of construction, I think.
