Matt ... Keep up the great work! I loved "The Rise of the CU Warrior" and this message is even better!!!! I too believe there is room for the Giant and for the normal sized Billy. With different types of people, the needs are also different ... that's why we need different types of credit unions to serve the population of the US.

Thank you so much! Economies of scale are important, don't get me wrong. Let's face facts, though, it's not that the credit union system doesn't have the size to extend significant economies of scale to all credit unions. The problem is that we haven't been cooperative in a meaningful enough way to take advantage of them. We're too worried about the size of our individual piece of the pie...not on making the entire pie bigger. When the pie gets bigger, the entire movement reaps the rewards.
