If we know so much about the weather, why are people so badly affected by it? This talk, given by Alejandro Quiroz Flores from our Department of Government, will explain why our governments sometimes fail to warn us that the weather will be bad - or that volcanoes may be about to erupt or that there is a hurricane coming. We will then talk about what we can do to protect ourselves and our community. The talk will also cover some amazing stories of survival during disasters.
