Awesome. But - well - it's quite a bit too close to Resident Evil. Still it's really a great job!

"quite a bit too close to resident evil", mate?... if anyone did a film with a dinosaur in it, that would make it quite a bit too close to jurassic park, even though the whole plot was nothing like it?...
  • Best. Reply. Ever.

Ok, Uncle. I give. I'm in love with this chic as well, that was cool!!!! NOTHING like a strong woman. Nothing!!! I was raised by a single mother, so I know the potency of a strong woman. Love this flic!!! Great job!!! I'm a screenwriter, and I write a lot of strong female roles into my stories. Nice job!!! Ok, I have to watch that again, lol!!! :-)

I love this movie! Its like how I'd imagine Lord of the Flies and the aftermath of a zombie distaster would actually happen like mixed with the youthful infatuation of one's first love. And its wonderfully shot and the acting was good.

Finally! A genuinely good story, well told! So many genre shorts have no heart--camera-tests with dialogue. This was a great short story.

I have grown in the south, therefore most of all in this film I liked sensation of hot southern summer. The hero in with a naked torso. The girl in a thin vest. And other similar trifles. Has recollected the childhood.
It would be desirable that in world was more than the Australian films. The Hollywood cinema has already bored. There are so few good films in Russia too, especially from the summer natural.
It was interesting to look. Fire made by means of a computer drawing was not pleasant only. It looked unnaturally.
It was pleasant that all made is accurate: it is beautifully frames, editing, actors.

Amazing!! why does the milky puke (10:49) remind me so much of Bishop, the android from James Cameron's Aliens?
There's nothing negative one can say about this gem, just wished it was longer and shown on Imax.
  •
  • Love that it explores a little seen aspect of zombie drama. Seriously, how many zombie movies, books, or video games throw kids aside and just focus on adults or government? Loved this piece and child-like freshness it brings.

Great short! Its zombie flick meets Lord of the Flies. I'd like to see this explored more. Perhaps into a feature. The only thing I would say is the tone is a bit confusing. It seems very serious throughout so the lighter ending kind of throws me off a little. Superb acting from your cast!

    My favourite short film.
  •
  • I can see why it won awards. This wasn't just about Zombies... the realism portrayed in the acting, directing, filming, as well as, the character development captured the "human Condition"... the psycho-social reaction when confronted against chronic adverse conditions. I would like to know the education / background of Spencer Susser. The script had such depth and insight.
