12 students, 5 days, 200.000 LEGO® bricks and 5.000 visitors. Our contribution at last months Helsinki Design Week was Workshop & Exhibition at the old Nokia Cable Factory with students of architecture from Aalto University.
The workshop employed elementary LEGO bricks as a medium in a series of architectural investigations of high-rise structures. The outcome; a grid of 100 towers in scale 1:500 stayed in Finland and will be exhibited again at Aalto University later this fall.
The Workshop & Exhibition was done in collaboration with The Why Factory with support from the LEGO Group, Aurora Design Fund, the Danish Arts Foundation and Iceland Design Center.
