2. Digital Underground - 6 Minutes in Denver
5 months ago
This Documentary follows hip-hop legends Digital Underground through Denver, CO on the night of their final live performance as a group. Digital Underground started off in Oakland, CA in 1988 and hit it big in the US and Europe with their first LP, Sex Packets which included the breakthrough hits The Humpty Dance and Doowutchyalike. Since then the band has released seven full length albums and sold millions of copies worldwide. They are credited with bringing a fun, peaceful, playfulness to rap music at a time when gangsta rap was dominating the scene. They also are responsible for giving 2Pac his first big break and eventually shopping him around, knowing he was to be a stronger force in hip-hop on his own. Many thanks to Digital Underground for making music which has kept me fully entertained since 8th grade and giving the chance to make my first concert film.
