In October 2012, for the first time in years I was fortunate enough to see the Northern Lights from the UK. Better still, I had my camera and a tripod with me too.
This sequence is around 45 shots of 20 seconds each, shot at ISO 1600.
This footage moves much slower than you will often find on aurora films, but I think this reflects more what you actually see at the time of filming. The Aurora does not whizz around the sky - it is far more serene.
